Good Supermarkets in CT?

Before moving to The City That Works, we lived in Lebanon, New Hampshire.  We bought food at the Co-Op.  It was glorious.

  • Mrs. Green's on High Ridge has good produce. I got the most amazing freaking melon there last weekend. Local lettuce, a prepared food section... I like it. I get all my basics at Super Stop and Shop or the A and P on Newfield, which is OK although a lot of people say bad things about it. I love the butchers there.

    What makes a good grocery store, BTW?
